Do you remember the Baltic way? It doesn’t matter if you do or not – it’s an example of how we could solve problems we have right here and now.The Baltic Way was a peaceful protest action that happened on 23 August 1989. The idea was to open the world’s eyes to the ugly truth – the Baltic states were occupied after an evil secret pact between Soviet Russia and Nazi Germany. The ~670 km long live human chain from Tallinn to Riga to Vilnius was the peak in a series of manifestations during the Independence Movement of the Baltic states (1988-1991) who sought to regain their sovereignty.
We offer you a short film that encourages us to evaluate how the Baltic Way works today – in politics, in everyday life, in relationships and elsewhere. #actbalticway #LV100
